Ellen almost got taken advantage of by Jace after he forced her to get drunk, but Harvey saved her. Since then, the two had never met.

Even though Ellen was in a drunken state back then, she knew for sure that Harvey was her savior.

Ellen's gaze toward Harvey was completely different than before; she no longer looked down on him anymore

The woman beside her was clad in business attire and a pair of golden-framed glasses; she looked to be in her forties, but her slender body and exquisite face were still quite apparent.

That said, she appeared aloof and distant, ordinary men wouldn't even be able to raise their heads when facing her.

"Hello"

Ellen nodded at the two inspectors before walking toward Harvey with a confused expression.

"Why are you here, Harvey?"

"This is Harvey, Mother. He's the one who beat up everyone just to save me."

Ellen hadn't contacted Katy after being discharged, so she didn't know anything that happened in the Cobb family.

The round-faced inspector changed her expression slightly: judging from Ellen's tone, she realized that Harvey had done Ellen a huge favor.

Ellen was the daughter of Noemi Moreno-the second lady of the Moreno family.

Even so, she was cast aside by her own family since she was an illegitimate child.

That said, she still belonged in one of the South Sea's great families. A mere inspector wouldn't be able to go against someone like her.

Before Harvey could speak up, the golden-framed woman looked at him with a judgmental gaze.

She then said to Ellen, "The police are doing their job. Stop causing them trouble!"

The woman was none other than Noemi herself.

Because of her experiences of marrying a scoundrel at a young age, she didn't feel excited at all when she heard her daughter talk about her savior. Rather, she was a lot more cautious than usual.

Ellen frowned when she saw Harvey's hands cuffed on the table.

"What happened here?"

"Ms. Moreno!"

The round-faced inspector quickly explained the entire situation before Harvey could even say a single word.

"He hurt the Cobb family's young master. He's bad news!"

The bald inspector nodded in unison.

"That's right!"

Ellen had a fierce look, and chuckled coldly when she heard Eden's name.

"No need for further questions, Mother. Harvey's being wronged here! I'm bailing him out right now!"

Noemi frowned instantly.

"You're not even done dealing with your own problems yet, Ellen! Don't be reckless! You'll affect our family's reputation by causing the police more trouble."

"Harvey's a good man! I believe him!"

"The Cobb family are heinous! If Katy was his friend, he wouldn't be stuck here right now!"

Ellen looked completely infuriated, she was angry that her good friend didn't even try to bail Harvey out.

Thus, she decided to break off from Katy without a second's hesitation.

After seeing her mother's frown, Ellen rolled her eyes and grabbed Harvey's hand with a smile.

"I forgot to tell you something, Mother."

"I want to stay with Harvey forever! He saved my life! He'll be my boyfriend from now on-no, my fiance!"

"I'm not leaving until you bail him out!"
