Harvey almost choked on his coffee after hearing those words.

The two high and mighty inspectors looked at Harvey, utterly shocked.

They kept sizing him up, but they couldn't see anything special in him.

They didn't think Harvey had the right to cling onto both the Cobb family and the Moreno family, either.

Noemi froze. A second later, a gloomy look settled on her face.

"I don't care if he's your man or your friend. You can't just protect someone who's being charged with a crime!"

Naturally, Noemi's position within the family was quite awkward; she seemed high and mighty on the outside, but she was quite methodical with everything she did. She wouldn't let other people from the family find anything to criticize her.

Ellen flashed her mother a resentful look. Then, she looked at Harvey.

"Harvey! Tell them that you're being wronged! A good man like you wouldn't just beat people up whenever you want."

"Even if you did do that, I'm sure you have a reason for it!"

The round-faced inspector coughed awkwardly.

"Ms Moreno, we're also hoping that your friend or fiance here is actually innocent. However, there are just too many witnesses from the Cobb family that say otherwise!"

The bald inspector nodded.

"Right! Unless there's solid proof of his innocence..."

"Nobody's allowed to bail him out!"

The bald inspector puffed up his stomach and ran his mouth to flaunt his authority.

"Even Inspector Failes can't do anything about this!"

Seeing the fierce looks on the inspectors' faces, Ellen hesitated.

"Did you really beat people up, Harvey?"

"Did you really do it on your own accord?"

Noemi looked at Harvey before tugging on Ellen's hand.

"You can't judge a book by its cover, Ellen. It's true that he saved you, but we can't just disregard the law just because of this," she coldly exclaimed.

"Let the police handle this. I'll get a well-known lawyer to keep an eye on him. He won't be wronged!"

Noemi wanted to leave the place as soon as possible, as she didn't want her daughter to have anything to do with some savage.

Harvey wanted to call Julian at first, but he didn't want the young lady to be disappointed after seeing the expectant look on her face.

"1 was wronged, Ellen," Harvey said with a smile.

He then showed two footage on his phone and projected it on the TV screen.

"Ms. Cobb sent me these. They're surveillance footage from the Cobb family's villa. This clearly shows that the Cobb family made the first move."

"I only fought back to save Ms. Cobb."

"From a certain perspective, this should be considered self-defense!"

Ellen felt relieved after seeing the truth in front of her eyes. She held utter disdain toward Eden and the other Cobbs.

She was also extremely furious when she saw her good friend getting whipped and slapped around mercilessly.

"Eden's a real bastard, alright! Other than Katy, nobody in the family is any good!"

"You people need to catch and question every single one of them here!"

Noemi quickly comforted her daughter.

"Don't rush things, Ellen! The police will certainly give you a proper statement about this."

The round-faced inspector stared awkwardly at Harvey.

"Why didn't you just show us the footage in the first place?"
