Harvey York's Rise to Power Chapter 4192
Chapter 4192
"Of course I know that it'll be hard to get in! That's why we're here begging for your help!"
Aunt Anderson had a righteous look on her face.
"To say nothing of Lilian.."
"But Mandy's the head of the Jean family's ninth branch!"
"That branch's going bankrupt, but it's way better than nothing."
"With Mandy's help, it'd be as easy as pie for Nova to get into the company!"
Aunt Anderson flashed them a sinister smile.
"Of course, if you're not willing to help, or if you're scared that I'll owe you a favor..."
"Just tell it to us straight!"
"We'll make sure to announce this to our entire family!"
Lilian and Simon looked at each other.
Aside from being utterly greedy, Lilian was also an extremely prideful woman.
After getting a new bag, she'd post pictures of it in many different friend groups. If Aunt Anderson told everyone about how unhelpful she was, how would she show off again in the future?
That said, it was almost impossible for her to help.
It wasn't that she didn't want to help. She was simply completely and utterly powerless.
In a city with such deep history, the Pagan family could be compared with both the John family and the Patel family.
True, Mordu's Jean family was one of the top ten families...
However, Mandy was only the head of the ninth branch. Her branch was on the verge of bankruptcy, too.
Under such circumstances, so what if Mandy had some connections with the Pagan family?
In the first place, Archa Corporation wouldn't do anything for the sake of their meager relationship.
Even though Lilian knew that this was an extremely hard task, for the sake of her pride, she still decided to put everything on Mandy.
She kept glancing over at Mandy, hoping that the latter would agree to her actions.
Mandy had a bitter expression. Her abilities were too limited for her to agree to something like this.
Harvey couldn't be bothered to deal with Aunt Anderson. Upon seeing Mandy's expression, however, he let out a huge sigh.
"I'll deal with this."
Lilian felt very pressured; she thought she was about to embarrass herself, but she couldn't help but feel infuriated after hearing those words.
"You?! Can you even do that?" she screeched, glaring fiercely at Harvey.
"Who do you think you are?"
"You think the Pagan family cares about you?"
Aunt Anderson's eyes were as cold as ice.
"That's right! You need to be at least a general manager to even have a say!"
"You're just a live-in son-in-law! Do you think you can handle something like that?"
"How cocky can you get?!"
"People keep saying that you're just a shameless kept man! I didn't believe it before, but now, I finally got a good look at it myself!"
"Not only are you exactly what the people say you are, you're completely useless!"
"Can't you do anything else worthwhile other than showing off?"
Aunt Anderson was boiling with anger. She came here to beg for the family's help, but what did she get in return?
A live-in son-in-law popped out of nowhere just to cause trouble!
Simon glared at Harvey and waved his hand dismissively.
"Just go to your room if you have nothing to do! Stop spouting nonsense in front of us! You're just being annoying right now!"
Seeing everyone's attitude toward him, Harvey smiled without saying a word.
He would've been dead a long time ago if he argued with these people.
And so, he casually grabbed a cup of tea before leaning on the couch to watch the show.
