Harvey York's Rise to Power Chapter 4307
Chapter 4307
"I'm so sorry, Young Master John. We've carried out a full investigation of the situation this time. You'll have to take full responsibility for this."
Silas's daydreaming was interrupted when a bald inspector looked at the footage they acquired and said that to him.
"According to traffic laws, you should be the one paying for Mr. York's losses."
The smile on Silas's face froze instantly.
He didn't expect something like this to happen.
He wanted to say that Harvey was working with the police, but he knew that the cops were sent here randomly.
Nothing here could prove what Silas was thinking.
Him spouting random nonsense would only dig him into a deeper hole.
Realizing that, his face turned cold.
He didn't think that squashing a live-in son-in-law would be this hard.
"What the hell are you thinking?!"
"This isn't our fault at all!"
Alma was stomping the ground furiously, screeching like a petulant child.
"He's just a useless piece of crap! He was trying to blackmail us, and now you tell us to take responsibility?"
"Are you people insane?"
"Or are you just dumb?"
Alma's attitude instantly worsened the bald inspector's expression of them.
"Giving pedestrians the way when they cross the pedestrian crossing is the damn law!"
"If you're not happy about it, go file a complaint!"
"But you're taking full responsibility right here!"
Alma gritted her teeth.
"We were just about to go past it! It's clearly his fault for appearing out of nowhere!"
"We've checked the security cameras. When everything happened, Young Master John was clearly talking to the woman beside him."
"It's clear he has lost focus at that point," the inspector replied respectfully.
"This is your responsibility. Nothing can change that."
A handsome inspector showed the footage he retrieved just now to Silas and the others.
The siblings were infuriated, but there was nothing they could do.
After all, everything clearly looked like their fault.
Safe to say, Harvey came at a perfect time.
Rylee, who had remained calm the entire time, didn't think that things would conclude this way either.
"You're pretty good with underhanded tactics, Harvey!"
Alma couldn't help but insult Harvey.
"No wonder your wife left you!"
"You don't even have the right to be someone's live-in son-in-law!" Rylee exclaimed with a haughty smile.
"Shut up and pay up already! Go bark somewhere else!"
Harvey remained emotionless toward their taunts.
Alma laughed coldly and threw a card to Harvey's face.
"Here's fifteen thousand! This should be enough, right?"
"Treat this as your medical fee as well."
Harvey calmly chuckled.
"This isn't even enough for my losses, though..."
Rylee crossed her arms, glaring coldly at him.
"Enough is enough, Harvey!"
"Take the money and leave! It's not like you suffered that much to begin with!"
"You'll end up in a horrible place if you keep screwing around with us!"
"I wasn't hurt that badly. You don't have to pay much for my mental loss fee."
Harvey glanced calmly at the siblings.
"That said, this porcelain here is worth a lot."
"There's only three of these left in the entire world!"
